Red is certainly a hot color this time of year and Ashley’s trendy Tory Burch Madeline peplum sweater serves as a vibrant way to embrace the bold hue. Don’t be afraid of pairing this polished sweater with equally eye-catching bottoms or playing it safe with conservative slacks.
Jessica took a much more lighthearted approach, courtesy of this Alice + Olivia Fall 2012 gray sweater. Its embellished black tie and collar detail makes this top a fun way of dressing up for holiday parties, even if you skip the graphic accessories.
Isabel Marant’s colorful and undoubtedly comfy sweaters have become star favorites. Kate’s Lucy Aran version is a true statement piece that looks great with dark skinny jeans and structured boots.
The classic white polka dot pattern on Taylor’s French Connection creation could be mistaken for snowballs. Maroon Theory pants helped make the singer’s outfit even more season-appropriate. Follow her preppy lead by adding in pearls and bow-accented ballet flats.

Selma kept it casual as she and son Arthur visited a friend in West Hollywood. Her wool and cashmere-blend navy Johanna Snowflake-Print sweater by Joie, was anchored by funky tan moccasin-style footwear.
Just because you wear a festive sweater, doesn’t mean you have to give up your edge. Pink toughened up this white, red, and black crewneck while out shopping in Malibu by sporting cutoff black pants, hefty black boots, and a matching hat.
A lot of printed sweaters can also work well for the holidays. Take Victoria’s Pinkyotto Sound Waves sweater, which doesn’t exactly conform to traditional seasonal fare. With its dominant red color and the right pair of boots, this unconventional selection can make any spirit bright.
This red and black Topshop Unique knit sweater is guaranteed to keep you warm all season long. Leigh layered on the leather, but even a sleek pair of jeans will nicely complement this cozy creation. Her bold red lip is a definite keeper, though.
