A couple of weeks ago we were salivating over the dreamy Resort 2014 collection Zimmermann showed in New York, stemming the proverbial dribble long enough to write about how Australian designers can benefit from the season. The in-between season allows Australian designers to appeal to two markets: Aussies staring into the eyes of summer, and rich Northern Hemispherians planning what to wear when they flee winter for the South of France. Vogue Australia editor Edwina McCann wrote a very good article in the Sunday Telegraph recently, arguing that Australian Fashion Week should be moved to June and become Resort.
Whether any moves are made in that direction remains to be seen, but in the meantime more local designers are choosing to coincide their Resort showings with the big overseas shows. Here are three collections you might have missed while your eyes were cast towards Milan and Paris.
